# Application for Policy Advisor ([Sustainable Ocean Alliance](https://www.soalliance.org))

Dear Sustainable Ocean Alliance team,

As a passionate ocean advocate and policy advisor    with experience supporting international negotiations and strategy  development , I am excited to apply for th    is role.

At IDDRI, I led our High Seas work and developed a project supporting engagement in ISA processes. I authored a     report analysing the impasse at the Authority, highlighting gaps in the current framework and outlining pathways toward a precautionary pause.

More broadly, I have published a diverse range of policy reports and peer        -reviewed publications informing international negotiations, and have advised institutions such as UNESCO and EU .

I have worked across ocean governance, biodiversity, and climate policy, designing and supporting engagement strategies and aligning policy analysis with communication and stakeholder outreach, including media engagement and positioning around key policy w indows. In workshops and high -level forums, I focus on enabling stakeholders to identify feasible policy pathways and position options within evolving negotiation dynamics.

At IDDRI, I led coalition -building and convening efforts, including designing the Marine Regions Forum for over 200 ocean governance leaders and contributing to the STRONG High Seas       project supporting regional cooperation. I contributed     to the Because the Ocean initiative at COP21 which helped elevate ocean issues within climate negotiations. At REN21, I applied these skills      in a global multistakeholder platform, working across data, narrative, and        consultation to support coordinated outputs and shared understanding.

I teach Master’s courses at Sciences Po on      Marine Policy & Ocean Governance       and Biodiversity Values & Policies , which keeps me closely engaged with evolving issues including seabed mining, ocean surveillance technologies, climate and CBD negotiations, and broader geopolitical dynamics.

I am dedicated to mentoring young leaders. At Sciences Po, I      have support ed students who have gone on to     high -level roles across the ocean governance landscape (including the UN, IUCN, and the Deep Sea Conservation Coalition        ) and mentor within the CARE program , as well as running sessions to help students develop their research and writing skills.

I would be delighted to contribute to SOA’s work , supporting policy and engagement strategies and mentoring     young leaders to engage effectively in international processes.
