Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty."

Creating a generation of change through pop culture & social media
At Ocean Generation, we are trying to understand the vast networks of habits, passions, beliefs and politics, that guide our behaviour. Popular culture - the books we do or don’t read, the clothes we buy, the food we eat, the media we consume both consciously and subconsciously - is a pervasive influence on our lives and behaviour. We want to leverage this influence to shift habits and inspire political change.
With the explosion of social media, pop culture can spreads far and wide with unprecedented speed. The impact of such tools are yet to be fully known, but we see them disrupting politics, economies and democracies around the world. Imagine the impact if we could direct this power towards promoting behavioural change for the ocean.

Helping 14,000,000 monthly players of the Hungry Shark game to “Sea It Differently” Getting popular YouTube musicians to sing for the ocean. A hackathon to develop Infrastructure and resilience to climate change. A movement to get rid of straws.
