Orientation Sessions

Design and facilitation of workshops, retreats, and learning journeys for teams working on oceans, energy, and climate.

I offer calm, structured orientation sessions for people who are navigating complex or uncertain periods — moments where things feel heavy, tangled, or hard to hold all at once.

These sessions work particularly well when:

  • you’re in a liminal phase (early PhD, career shift, burnout, grief, reorientation)
  • institutions aren’t helping, or are actively adding pressure
  • therapy feels like too much
  • coaching feels too instrumental
  • you don’t need fixing — you need space, structure, and orientation

This is not therapy, coaching, or consulting. There are no action plans, productivity systems, or promised outcomes.

Instead, we use gentle structures, metaphors, and mapping exercises to:

  • externalise pressure
  • make complexity more manageable
  • clarify what you’re carrying, what’s pulling at your attention, and what pace is sustainable right now
  • restore a sense of being located, rather than lost

People often describe these sessions as:

  • stabilising
  • quietly clarifying (without forcing decisions)
  • surprisingly calm
  • a relief from constant self-assessment

Sometimes nothing is “solved”. But things become more holdable — and that’s often the prerequisite for clarity to emerge later.

I currently offer these informally, mostly by word of mouth. If this sounds like the kind of support you’ve been missing, feel free to reach out.
